Legal Claims Examiner

NJSBAIG a joint insurance fund serving more than 380 members in the State of New Jersey is currently recruiting for a Legal Claims Examiner. Founded in 1983, NJSBAIG is a non-profit joint insurance fund dedicated to public schools in NJ. Since its founding NJSBAIG has experienced steady and consistent growth. We are seeking an energetic and experienced individual to join our Claims Department. The person in this role will be responsible for the processing of claims that have a high level of complexity.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize sophisticated negotiating techniques designed to promptly resolve and otherwise control losses of a serious or complex nature.
  • A minimum of five (5) years experience of claim experience managing Employment Practices Liability Claims, General Liability, and Auto Liability.
  • Experience and familiarity with Errors and Omissions coverage forms.

Job Requirements:

  • Familiarity with NJ Title 59
  • Ability to attend, monitor, and report on progress of trials effectively
  • A minimum five (5) years experience reviewing, evaluating and managing claims.
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise summaries, and good communication skills
